Sealionne Walla Walla Valley Syrah Viognier Floyd 2023 newsletter-aug26 cold maceration of dried herbsOR Columbia Gorge Syrah and WA Columbia Gorge Viognier co fermented (not a blend!)to create a lovely Rhone style Syrah. Aged in 50% neutral French oak and 50% new French oak for one year on heavy lees. The intention was to capture that wonderfully rich palate of bacon, blackberry, olives and violets that make classic French Syrah such a distinct wine. The project was a success.
