It provides magnification from 1: 3. 2 (at 70mm) to 1: 1. 32 (at 180mm) and does a perfectly fine job as a general purpose telephoto lens, too. A pleasure to use, and like all Micro Nikkors, the image quality is excellent. Light internal dust, smooth focusing, clean diaphragm.
