The fragrant white flowers bloom in winter. The lemon sized fruits are a cross between key lime and lemons, with thicker peels that ripen to yellow and are nearly seedless. Grows best in full sun and sandy to loamy well drained acidic soils. Cannot tolerate frost. Persian Limes are the most common type sold
